From inspirational life journeys to demos on lighting set ups, live styling session, working with a brief and discovering how to improve your workflow and editing skills. There is something for everyone. And if you want to skip a session to chill by the pool, that is fine too. We don’t force you to attend every session on the program.
This is not a mass event or another boring conference. Super casual, just a group of likeminded people having fun, learning a thing or two whilst, of course, enjoying great food and wine.
The Venue
The Food Photography Retreat 2024 is held at the Wybalena Organic Farm in Pocket, NSW. Technically, the venue is 35 min from Gold Coast and half an hour from Byron Bay. Wybalena is a purpose built retreat venue providing a perfect facility to host workshops, have fun and sleep comfortably bigger group of people.
Wybalena Organic Farm is located between Gold Coast and Byron Bay. When flying from interstate or from overseas, Gold Coast is the nearest airport (35 min drive).
To reach the venue, you can either hire a car or book a return transfer to and from Wybalena through Byron Bay Transfers. Second option The Other Way
Tickets
Tickets will go on sale at 10 AM AEDT on Monday, 9th October. Anyone who attended the retreat in February this year and who has also joined the waiting list, will be invited to book their seat in first round on 2nd October. After first round, people on the waiting list who did not attend the retreat this year, will be invited to book their seat. If after the second round there will be any seats remaining, we will open bookings to the public who may still be interested in joining. As this is a small retreat, seats are limited. Joining the waiting list does not automatically guarantee you a seat at the retreat. You will only be guaranteed a seat when completing your booking online after receiving an invitation to book. First come, first served.
Prices depend on your choice of room and includes access to the full program, all meals and beverages during your stay.
Please not that 1 bedroom with a few beds is available as a room share (shared between 2 people). We recommend booking this option if you’re traveling to the retreat with another attendee who does not mind sharing. All other rooms are private with shared bathroom (usually shared between 2-3 people).
Please note that tickets are non refundable. We understand that sometimes circumstances change, therefore if you’re no longer able to attend but are able to find a replacement to take over your spot, we honour ticket transfers.
